If you have a job that has you sitting at a desk all day, this blog is for you!

Working at a desk all day provides little opportunity for exercise, but there are still plenty of things you can do to stay toned and fit without moving from your seat.  Here are a few deskbound exercises for you to try.

1.The times when you are reading from a computer screen and don’t need to use your hands are ideal for doing gentle stretching exercises to keep your wrists and forearms supple.  Simply place your palms together in front of your chest and gently tilt your hands from side to side.

2.If you want to give your arms and core a workout, then sitting cross-legged on your chair and lifting yourself up a few inches with the use of your arms and stomach muscles can be a great exercise.

3.To tone your abs, sit up straight without leaning on the back of your chair and pull your stomach muscles in toward your spine.  Hold this pose for 30 seconds; do it twice an hour.

4.If you’re looking to tighten up your derrière, then simply tensing your muscles for between five and 10 seconds as many times a day as you want can yield great results.

Of course, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and standing up to stretch every now and then are common ways of working out while at work, but these sneaky workouts are ones that you can do without even leaving your chair!

Stay fit, and remember to look for the magic that is all around you!
